Election Integrity Tee-shirts

by Steven Freeman 6/29/2008 6:47:00 AM
Anyone capable of and interested in helping to make and sell election integrity tee-shirts? Tee-shirts and other paraphernalia are good advertising, public relations, something for us all to wear, and provide some revenue. I have looked into costs, production and sales, and have some thoughts on how to reduce the risk and increase revenues. A project like this can also help build a network: for the first tee-shirt design, I am thinking of using just the logos and URLs of Election Integrity and any other election protection groups that sign up for a minimum number of tee-shirts.

Write to me if you can take a leadership role in this, help out, have some thoughts on design, or want to buy some.

GREAT IDEA, Steve. I have been thinking about this for a long time. Here's an idea--make it possible for anyone to get them wholesale so that they can make a decent profit when reselling. This may seem obvious, but I feel I am always trying to sell things that have no room for profit. I need to at least make gas and food money back at whatever event I am selling the stuff. I like your idea of being to put one's own group's logo also on the design. That will increase costs though. A graphic that is on ALL the shirts would make it seem we are a larger movement.

What about http://www.cafepress.com/?

All you need is a graphic, and you can put it on just about anything, including t-shirts. They handle the rest.

we need t-shirts for election protection/ exit polling on Nov 4. I have very little cash at my disposal now, but maybe I can research this idea. we need a color that is different from the Election Protection of 04 since they are a different group--I think theirs were yellow.

ps Cafe Press is expensive--there are cheaper ways--anybody have a good link? One color for the shirt and another--even black, for printing, would be cheap.
