Strategic Litigation

To protect the vote count, we must be prepared to go to court.

Some cases are small. Twice each year, there are elections, and twice each year there are several close races with evidence of procedural irregularities. Typically, the candidates involved do not have money left over in their campaign war chests to pay the costs of such litigation. However, this kind of litigation exposes problems and helps strengthen our system by forcing attention on irregularities. We would like to develop a fund for litigation of such irregularities.

Some cases are large. With enough resources, we could ask the courts to apply relevant portions of existing state and federal law to the voting systems currently in place.
